Study Less. Remember More.
Flashi is a free spaced repetition app for iPhone that uses the proven SM-2 algorithm to show you each card at exactly the right moment — right before you'd forget it. Spend less time studying. Retain far more.

Your brain is wired to forget. The forgetting curve, first described by Hermann Ebbinghaus in 1885, shows that memory decays rapidly after learning — unless you review at the right time.
Spaced repetition works by scheduling each review just before the memory fades. Each successful recall pushes the next review further into the future. Over time, a card you once reviewed daily might only need reviewing once a month — because it's been cemented in long-term memory.
Flashi automates all of this with the SM-2 algorithm — the same algorithm used by Anki and backed by decades of memory research. You just study. The algorithm handles the scheduling.
Review intervals grow as your memory strengthens
Built for how you actually study
Spaced repetition is powerful. But only if the app makes it easy enough to use consistently.
AI builds your decks instantly
The hardest part of spaced repetition is making the cards. Flashi eliminates that. Type any topic and get 20+ accurate flashcards in 10 seconds — then start your first spaced repetition session immediately.
See what's due today at a glance
Flashi shows you exactly which cards are due for review each day. No digging through decks, no guessing. Open the app, study what's due, close it. That's your session.
Audio review between sessions
Generate a spoken audio lesson from any deck and listen while commuting, working out, or doing chores. Passive audio exposure between spaced repetition sessions reinforces memory further.
Import your existing cards
Already studying with Anki or have a CSV of terms? Import it directly into Flashi and your existing cards immediately enter the spaced repetition schedule.
Common questions
What spaced repetition algorithm does Flashi use?
Flashi uses the SM-2 (SuperMemo 2) algorithm — the most widely used spaced repetition algorithm, and the same one that powers Anki. After each review you rate how well you knew the card, and SM-2 calculates the optimal next review date based on your rating.
How is Flashi different from Anki?
Both use SM-2 spaced repetition. Flashi is free on iOS (AnkiMobile costs $24.99), has built-in AI deck generation, and supports audio lessons from any deck. Anki has a larger shared deck library and more advanced customisation options for power users.
How long should my daily study sessions be?
Most people find 5–15 minutes per day is enough when using spaced repetition consistently. The algorithm keeps your daily review count manageable — you're only ever reviewing cards that are actually due, not re-studying the whole deck from scratch.
Is Flashi free?
Yes. Flashi is free to download and use on iOS. No subscription, no one-time purchase, no credit card required.
